History & Present
Established back in the 40s, the appeal of Oak Forest started earlier in 2000 and since then has it been blooming! Attracting the “creative types” who wanted to establish families or could not afford the Houston Heights or Montrose.
Future forward, we are at a point where streets are filled with small businesses, cool shops, bars, restaurants, parks, you name it. Smarted of small, but now we are here. Oak Forest is still growing and definitely in the right direction.

West White Oak Bayou Trail
Oak Forest real estate is tricky to navigate given neighborhoods have different school zoning maps, proximity to railroad tracks, and of course the trail that separates Oak Forest into West and East.
The White West Oak Bayou Trail separates Oak Forest importance lays not only in its division into West and East, but more on its connection. Education
Oak Forest is not good for families for just their active communities. There are good schools to prep your children for their future. Oak Elementary Elementary School (Zoned East) is rated one top 10 in Texas. It has a great PTA involvement and great programs the heavily involve teachers. But better inquire into the school soon! The School has a waiting list.
Yes Prep White Oak is a public charter school in Houston, Tx flow low-income students for college. This combines Middle and High school to transform the way Houston educates its students and serves all the members in the surrounding community.
Victory Early College High School is a collaboration between the Aldine Independent School District and Lone Star Community College rated B. Collaboration of this kind provides an atmosphere that blends high school and college into coherent educational programs. Victory Center Campus, Victory provides students with the opportunity to pursue a high school diploma and an Associate’s of Arts Degree or two years of college credit toward a Baccalaureate Degree.
